    HALF A MIL AKA MILL GATES .. JAN 25 1973 - OCT 24 2003

SLEEP IN PEACE TO ( IN MY OPINION) ..ONE OF THE BEST TO EVER DO IT .. THE SHIT THIS DUDE SPIT IN FREESTYLES WAS UNTOUCHABLE AND SO AHEAD OF ITS TIME MOST COULD’NT EVEN COMPREHEND OR UNDERSTAND ..  FOR A HOOD DUDE A THUGGED OUT DUDE LIVIN IN A PLACE LIKE ALBANY PROJECTS BROOKLYN TO HAVE SUCH WISDOM AND INTELLIGENCE AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE IS INCREDIBLE .. ITS LIKE WHAT PAC SAID ABOUT ROSES GROWING OUT OF CONCRETE .. OR BEING THE MIND THAT SPARKS THE MIND THAT WILL REVOLUTIONIZE SHIT .. HALF WAS A PRIME EXAMPLE OF THAT AND WHAT MADE HIM ILLMATIC WAS THE FACT HE WASNT NO REVOLUTIONARY RAPPER .. HE WAS AS THUG AS AND AS HARDCORE AS THEY COME .. UNOFFICIAL MEMBER OF THE FIRM ..AZ SAW THE ILLNESS IN MILL AND MADE SURE HE WAS ON THE FIRM ALBUM ..AND THAT SONG HAPPENS TO BE MY FAVORITE ON THE FIRM ALBUM “THROW YA GUNS” .. IF YOU HAVENT SEEN THE DOCUMENTARY ON HALF I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU DO .. DUDE IS A LEGEND

    SLEEP EASY MILLIATO

Meet the last tribes on earth, before they pass away.

The purity of humanity exists. It is there in the mountains, the ice fields, the jungle, along the rivers and in the valleys.

Jimmy Nelson (Sevenoaks, Kent, 1967) together with his Dutch wife, has documented a body of work that would be an irreplaceable ethnographic record of a fast disappearing world. Whether in Papua New Guinea or in Kazakhstan, in Ethiopia or in Siberia, tribes are the last resorts of natural authenticity.

We get a look into the different tribes’ varying and unique cultural creativity with their painted faces, scarified bodies, jewellery, extravagant hairstyles and ritual language, captured with an extraordinary view into the emotional and spiritual lives here.

    Brasilintime

A documentary film by Coleman and B+, filmed in Sao Paulo, Brasil.

In September 2002 Coleman and B+ went to Sao Paulo for nine days. They had a week to link with (hip hop) Brasil, enlist three drummers and find enough breaks to make a break record to guarantee commitment from our oversubscribed DJs back home.

Featuring: Paul Humphrey, James Gadson, Wilson Das Neves, Ivan Mamao Conti, Derf Reklaw, Joao Parahyba, Babu, J.Rocc, Madlib, Cut Chemist, Nuts, Nelsao Triunfo and will.i.am
